Brooches and Scarves

I am best known for my unique brooches and scarves in knitted and woven vintage fabrics. I use multitudes of buttons, beads, feathers, buckles, ribbons and lace  to adorn the brooches. These inspiring materials provide endless texture and interest that people are drawn to touch. The scarf evolved through my further exploration of how knitted pieces react when sewn.

You can change the look easily by unpinning the brooch, rewrapping the scarf into a knot or tied to one side. The brooch can be worn separately on a jacket, bag or even a hat.  This unique and sought after accessory is not just a beautiful and chic thing to wear but has a history all of its own. Some of the buttons I use date back to the 1940s and 50s and the knitted pieces are themselves recycled.
